Description

My passion for creating Sci-Fi artworks has not started now! On April 2005, when I was a just a young boy, I drew something similar to the attached piece using just a pencil and a blue fountain pen. And as it is typical of me; this artwork was inspired by a desire to convey a message. The message was that if I had a heart of a dragon, then I would never give up in life no matter what! I have indeed lived up to that message. I wrote the name of that piece of art on the same page of the foolscap. I had seen an advertisement on an old newspaper page for a 1996 film scheduled to be shown on cinema screens in Nairobi during the festive seasons that happened at the end of the previous year; 2004.

My extreme Math abilities, as a divine attribute of Autism, had been discovered in that previous year after a female teacher in a public primary school had started to conduct individual tutor-sessions. We had just been introduced to writing using fountain pens after institutional changes implemented by that same tutor that also saw the beginning of thorough and daily checks on the naive us in order to make sure that we always looked clean and dressed modestly.

Therefore, my arts’ blog (or magazine) reflects a brand that started more than 20 years ago. Yes! I started the ‘JoE AdiX’ brand that is just about Art and Mathematics when I was a teenager. For me, that period marked a peak season in which Autistic symptoms ovverided the need for a clinical diagnosis. It was during the very first years of a new millennium, when Girlie Mafura’s songs were the ones decoding so much from cassette tapes, that God inspired me to start a brand. Join this brand of: Art and Mathematics. Throughout the years, many people have been part of it! Many others will continue to be part of it after I leave Earth.
