Description
Build in a bottom-up formula by tough guys, some of which come from very humble backgrounds, this artwork is about Bongo Fleva. It may not be written that way on pages of the internet but this genre of music, probably named after the five human common senses, is something so mystical that will forever be green. Don’t expect this magic to ever fade away as long as people continue to speak and sing using the rich-Swahili language of the East African community.
Made up of serious geeks with one of it’s top musicians paving his way up from poverty ridden grounds of the Tandale street by secretly selling a diamond ring belonging to his mother, Bongo has proven that it’s possible for a ghetto young man to succeed in life by working hard and tapping into his innate gifts and talents. Imagine the latter running a store somewhere that sells fruits before succeeding in his music career. Albeit these Swahili musicians sometimes get out of the moral-code rail; being well bahaved will always lead you somewhere. This is a virtue that Kenyan musicians who are known for writing lots of dirty lyrics will have to learn the hard way!
