Art: Gyrokopta

My gyrocopter landing on Mars as it approaches an alien that has a face like that of an octopus.

Description:

It was during one of the beautiful Sunday mornings that I made myself a gyrocopter using just some powerful electric motor, metal rods and sheets, plus some a-bit-clear plastic windows. I actually flied inside it and went as far up into the sky as the distance that a camera attached to a spacecraft would start capturing the pictures of Earth as a pale blue dot. The brakes of my gyrocopter failed as I approached Mars and I feared that I was going to land there with a thunder.

Luckily, I met a friendly alien that had a face that resembles that of an octopus.1 The alien miraculously made my gyrocopter’s speed slow down and I landed on that reddish planet safely; the way we people land on our dream countries’ lands when we travel there by airplanes. I had a conversation with that alien and it just knew too much science! I was curious about asking it if there is a God up there but I restrained myself from asking that question. I just didn’t want to turn our conversation towards that way!

Footnote:

  1. The unexpected brakes failure symbolizes moments of loss of control, and the alien’s help represents unexpected kindness or insight from others — even in alien (or unfamiliar) forms. ↩︎
