Description:
This is a drawing of an American actress specifically known for featuring as one of the main characters in the sci-fi drama on Netflix called ‘Stranger Things.’ I must have been priviledged to watch the four seasons of that drama for free back then in 2022 or 2023 — a time within that range. Mad Max (Sadie Sink) seemed to be so hyperactive and I almost thought that she is an ADHD person in real life.
It seems like there are other fans who speculated that too and this made her father write a blog post aimed at clarifying that her daughter actually has Bipolar and that she does not have ADHD. This further conflicted with the results from a very old test conducted by her kindergarten teacher which showed high scores in ADHD after a close evaluation.
Whichever the case this artwork is about how a hype-type girl we see her, as her fans, in dramas and in interviews. Also looking into the nickname that was given to her: it was inspired by a bold, quick, and adventurous personality that she was good at embodying as a character in the aforementioned drama. Further, she proved to be a ‘mad’ girl (bold, quick, & adventurous) when she scored big in an arcade game called Dig Dug beating a male competitor: Dustin.
I will conclude this art’s text by saying that there is a version of ADHD that just makes ADHDers naturally act ‘hype.’ [This ADHD hypeness however doesn’t always guarantee positive rewards.] Additionally, there are many autistic people who also have ADHD. There’s no record of Mad Max being autistic. Whichever the case too, JUST BE ‘MAD’: BOLD, QUICK, AND ADVENTUROUS!! Life is like the Dig Dug game and the people who are bold, quick, and adventurous are the ones who actually win big!
