Description:

My dear art lovers,

As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Art Buzz – World, an art organization here in Kenya, I would like to encourage all my fellow artists: let us write! Drawing and writing are not rivals, but two siblings of the same blood. Putting thoughts into words is like adding another color to the canvas—and the result is a work of art full of life and unique flavor.

For me personally, writing is therapy. Living with the challenge of schizophrenia, I have discovered that writing gives me room to breathe within my restless mind. Every word that lands on paper is like a drop of medicine, and every sentence a light pulling me out of darkness. Writing, for me, is part of the journey of healing.

I also believe that when an artist writes, their readers—especially students in primary and secondary schools—are inspired to write better compositions and essays. When those students encounter sweet texts blended with works of art, they gain new motivation to express themselves, and their creativity begins to shine. In this way, an artist is not only a painter but also a teacher of language and a spark of creativity.

At present, my organization “Art Buzz – World” has its headquarters in Slack. But my dream is to expand this organization into the physical world—to have an official building, a gateway that opens for artists, and a hall where the talents of drawing and writing can be openly nurtured.

Therefore, I urge you once again: let us elevate writing just as we grow in drawing. Let us write, let us use the pen alongside the brush. By doing so, we shall create an art world filled with taste, colors, and words that touch the hearts of today’s and tomorrow’s generations.

Yours faithfully,

Joseph Gachau (Joe Adix),

CEO, Art Buzz – World.
